Beauty powerhouse Elemis has a new facial on offer that is causing a stir, thanks to a clinical study that rates its wrinkle-reducing effectiveness at 94 per cent. The Pro-Collagen Quartz Lift Facial ultilises mineral-rich products from the Pro-Collagen range, including a wonder-serum and mask, to not only target those pesky lines but also improve skin firmness by encouraging cell production. I headed to Green Street House, an oasis of tranquillity a stone’s throw from Bath’s bustling centre, to test the treatment. Set in a beautiful Georgian building, friendly staff and fabulous treatments have helped to make Green Street House an essential destination for the beautiful people of Bath. While Elemis is the brand of choice for the majority of the treatments, the spa also stocks Korres, Aromatherapy Associates and Penhaligon’s. The Quartz Lift Facial is the latest treatment on the varied Green Street House menu. Incorporating gentle reflexology, facial massage and a glorious Indian head massage, the treatment lasts over an hour and takes place in the spa’s zen-like treatment rooms.
The combination of marine extracts and minerals make the Pro-Collagen products smell fantastic, and the mask was both soothing and cooling. Using a white clay base, it not only plumped up my skin but also helped restore the balance, targeting over-active sebum on the T-zone. Unlike many similar facials, I noticed the results instantly – my skin appeared fresh and glossy, allowing me to enjoy an afternoon’s shopping make-up free.
